Touchpoint has been contracted to design the new Best Buy Theater experience in Times Square. Our scope encompasses everything from the exterior marquee signage and interior space design to all digital solutions and branding. The Wellness Shoppe and Pharmacy at St. John’s Mercy Medical Center

Minneapolis, Minn. (August 30, 2010) – The initial phase of Wellness Retail Network located in the St. John’s Mercy Hospital Women’s Center in Clarkson Valley, Mo. is a 600 SQ. FT. retail space and 100 SQ. FT. Pharmacy Sales Floor dedicated to a holistic-patient experience.
With Simply Retail, we delivered a complete system quantified through feasibility studies, assistance in retail operations hiring, mentorship, environmental design, merchandising, store set up and visual merchandising. The core emphasis was to deliver the future of medical, seamlessly integrate the store and pharmacy identity within the hospital’s brand guidelines, and emphasize the hospitals mission to “provide high quality, compassionate healthcare services in a personalized Christian environment.”
The Wellness Shoppe experience immerses the healthcare customer into an inviting, contemporary environment. Its small footprint accentuates warmth and welcome while the use of clean lines, soft shapes, inspirational imagery and category signage create an uplifting human experience. The product selection is also tailored to help, relax, comfort and engage the predominantly female customer base.
The Pharmacy solution provides convenience and flexibility. This quick pick-up location allows healthcare customers to easily flow in and out of the space with ease and comfort. A selection of fixtures was provided to allow cross merchandising of products typically desired by someone filling a prescription.
Touchpoint will continue to provide graphics and signage through their replenishment services, allowing the store management to efficiently change the look and feel of the space with quick cost effective solutions.

Best Buy Takes Its Brand to a Times Square Theater

Best Buy has purchased naming rights to the now former Nokia Theater at 1515 Broadway and 44th St., Times Square. This is the first naming rights venture of an entertainment venue for the Richfield, Minn. retailer. Touchpoint has been contracted to design everything from the exterior marquee signage and interior space design to all digital solutions and branding. We are also developing and implementing emerging technologies such as Augmented Reality, Near Field Technologies, and QR code interactions.

Gift Shop at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center | Store Opening

Minneapolis, Minn. (June 26, 2010) – The newly opened Gift Shop located in the expansion wing of Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center in South Bend, IN is a 2,225 SQ. FT. SQ.FT. retail space.
Touchpoint provided a custom fixture solution that fulfilled the design concepts implemented by the hospital’s interior design team and allowed the merchandising team and buyers to display the optimum quantity of skus. The fixture’s rich cherry tones and organic textured finishes compliment the traditional warm environment.
The Women's Shoppe at Saint Luke's Hospital | Store Opening

With our partner Simply Retail, we delivered a quantified and complete system utilizing feasibility studies, retail operations hiring and management, buying, fixtures fulfillment, environmental design, store set up and visual merchandising. The core emphasis was to deliver the future of medical retail by transforming the selling environment into a holistic patient experience that works collectively with the medical environment while celebrating the polish of retail. By closely working and interviewing the medical staff, we were able to tailor merchandise offerings for their patient demographic. This customized retail experience immerses the healthcare customer into an uplifting, contemporary environment that emphasizes the Center’s promise to Women’s health and care.
We will continue to provide graphics and categories through our replenishment system.

Laila Gatts Takes Position as Director of Retail Projects with Touchpoint

Thrilled to join the collaborative Touchpoint, Minnesota native, Laila Gatts took a position as our new Director of Retail Projects. With a degree in architectural design, she brings 14 years of retail, entertainment and hospitality design and construction experience.
When she’s not thinking about our latest projects, she spends time with her beautiful 7 year old son Aiden and enjoys photography and traveling.
U.S. Bank Skyway Open Benefit

Touchpoint sponsored a golf hole at the U.S. Bank Skyway Open with industry partners, Tanek and Excel fixtures. On the snowiest and windiest night of the year, we set up ‘Bundt Land’ in the IDS Center skyway. During the event many adults and kids poked, prodded and chuckled hysterically at the hole's feature, Bundt Mountain. To top of the event Mayor Rybak gave us a shout out during the volunteer & sponsor party hosted by the Hotel Minneapolis. Interface Floor & Signs of Perfection donated materials for our hole. All proceeds benefit the Boys and Girls Club.
